31 Days Writing Challenge

Let me start out by saying this: I am already 5 days behind on this writing challenge thing.

This challenge comes from Christina Hubbard, a blogger/writer who I just happen to come across by creeping on my dear friend Allie’s blog. ANYWHO. The whole gist of the challenge is this: take the one word prompt, write a post in 5 minutes, and repeat. Every day of October.

So that means posting on my blog, every day of October.

That is 31 posts in 31 days. And me, being the special type who starts late in the game, that means 26 posts in 26 days.

At first this challenge seemed ridiculous. I don’t want to annoy people with my constant posting, and I honestly don’t know think my words are that important to write every single day.

But I have been wanting to challenge myself in writing lately, taking new blog topics and writing for my church here and there, and pushing myself to write even when I don’t wfeel the drive to/or even care to.

All to say- this 31/26 day challenge in almost a little too perfect for where I am in my writing. I am craving new topics, easy and difficult, serious and silly, whatever it may be, and after moving to California, I have struggling with my blog and where to take it.

So this is where it’s going.

I am going to take the one word prompt, write the first thing that pops in my head, and hope that it can relate to someone, even just one of y’all. Because I know one thing for sure: this blog isn’t for me, and I never want it to be- I want it to be for Him.

So first topic?

You’ll just have to wait until tomorrow.

See ya soon,

Stephanie Lynn
